Layout: Is it Christmas yet?

I know we’re in the middle of June, but lately I’ve been finishing my 2015 project life album, so I’m in a holiday mood.  I didn’t make a December daily so I’m putting all of my photos in my project life album, right now it’s very tight but I’m so close to finish it that I will use an album only.

For this layout I’ve mostly used embellishments I bought at the NSD Sale from The Hip Kit Club and the cards are from Studio Calico, but I don’t remember the kits, sorry!

I tried to make my layout in a very Christmas style, using a lot of red and white.

I love to mix different types of letters; do you know what’s a “mexican posada”? Click hereto read about it.

I’ve used these acetate cards to put the date, but I don’t have pictures for all the days, but it’s the closest thing I could make of a December daily.

Thanks for stopping by; I promise I will post more often.

Layout: Last of November #YAY

¡Hey everyone! I’m so excited because this is my last layout from November 2015, a month to go and I’ll be ready to start another project #Woohoo

On my last post, everybody said to me that is never too much pink, so I’m on a roll with it, I’ve been using it for like 3 or 4 layouts, and I’m really enjoying it.  All of the cards I used are from Studio Calico but I don’t remember the kit because I always mix them.

It was important for me to document this pasta with chicken, but it’s the first chicken I’ve made in my whole life, so that’s a big accomplishment for me!! The jar pocket is from Crate Paper and I got them in the NSD Sale from The Hip Kit Club.

As you can see, my embellishments are too simple and that’s the reason I like them so much, I rather to focus on the photos.

I promise I won’t be bothering you with this amount of pink on my following layouts, I’m sure it’s just a phase.

Thanks for stopping by.

How to start a Project Life Album (Step by Step - Part 3)

Ok, I’ve been talking about how I start my project life albums, first of all I plan and focus on what I have and what I need, after that and if is an special occasion I select the size of the album, because for my regular project life, I’ve always used 12 x 12’’, I love taking pictures and I like to put a lot of them in my album, that’s the thing I’ll be wanting to see when I get old.

So today it’s time to talk about how I organize my photos.  I already have a post where I talk about how I print my photos, so you can check it clicking HERE.

STEP 4. Organizing my photos

All of my photos are taken with my iPhone, that way it’s easier for me to organize them while I’m waiting for something or someone, or even before going to bed.

For this special project that I’m working on right now, I’ve created an album on my iPhone where I store the photos I need to print.  I almost never edit them, but I create collages to print 3 x 4’’, in an app called “Pic Stitch”, this is how I do it:

First, I select this design:

Then I click at the bottom part where says “aspect and choose 4 x 6’’, It will look like this:

I don’t like borders; so next thing is to erase them with the second upper button (the one with stripes):

Then I click in the middle of my design and select 2 photos.

After, drag the photos into frames and rotate them; on the right side of each photo will appear a pencil where you can do it (IF YOU PRINT WITH A CANON SELPHY, ON THIS PART DON’T FORGET TO PUT THE SIDE YOU CARE LESS AT THE BORDER, OTHERWISE, YOU WILL CUT A PART OF THE PHOTO YOU WANT TO HAVE).

Then export the photo to your camera roll and that’s it.

Hope you have enjoyed this post and if you have any doubt do not hesitate to ask me.

Layout: too much pink?

I don’t know what’s going on with me lately, but I’ve been loving pink layouts, this is my second one from November and I absolutely love it, and what I like the most, is that it has been so easy to complete my layouts, I’m so excited to finish my 2015 project life album that it has inspired me #YAY

This layout is from mid November, my boyfriend and I celebrated our first month together so we went out for dinner, he gave me flowers and I gave him strawberries with chocolate, obviously I ate 2 of them (or maybe 3 :P)

I made that fringed heart like a month ago, definitely I need to do more, they look so cute and it’s easier and quick to finish the layout.

I loooooove this filler card, I got the tag in a embellishment kit from The Hip Kit Club, the quote and the puffy sticker are from Studio Calico.

I also made this arrow with a toothpick, and it’s not a complete layout without journaling in my old typewriter.

What do you think about using this amount of pink?, is it too much?

Thanks for stopping by.

Fuse Tool Friday: Shaker Triangles

Hello everyone! I’ve been wanting to make this DYI for so long, it's been in my head for quite a time, but I hadn't had time to make it.  You probably know my love for the Fuse Tool by WRMK, so I’ve decided to make more embellishments with it.
For my first Fuse Tool Friday (#FTF), I created shaker triangles inspired by these acetate die cuts from Pinkfresh Studio.
I’ve used sequins, glitter, tiny stars and many more things I found in my stash to fill them up.
Some of them have Christmas style, and that's because right now I'm working on November of my 2015 Project Life álbum, so I'm planning to use these shaker triangles in my following pages.
I don’t really know how am I going to use these shaker triangles, but I definitely want to include them in one of my layouts.  If you have any idea of how I should use them, please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by.

How to start a Project Life Album (Step by Step - Part 2)

¡Hello everyone! A new month has started and so does my new project, I haven’t finished (YET) my 2015 project life album, but as I’ve said, it’s time to plan my next project.

So today, I wanted to continue with the series “How to start a Project Life Album”.  On the last post (click here to see it), I told you about the planning and choosing sizes (those are my first two steps to start an album), and here’s my third step and probably the most important one.

STEP 3. What should I put on my Project Life Albums?

Absolutely, this question depends on the purpose of your Project Life, for example on my personal Project Life, my life is documented monthly, with special events, occasions or inserts with traditional scrapbooking, because I do not have enough time to do it weekly. But the album I’m starting right now is going to be a gift for my boyfriend, so I want to document our first year together.

The tricky part is that I don’t have photos of everything, in fact I sometimes forget to take pictures, so what I’m planning to do is to put the pictures I have and for the times I don´t have a picture but I still want to document an specific story or event, I will write about it, as if I were telling him the story of our life.

Obviously, I want to make this album chronologically, from the time we start hanging out until our anniversary (I hope this blog help me to finish on time HAHAHAHA)

With the help of my planner, I’ve selected the moments and photos I want to include on this album, so now, I have a huge and chronological list of how the things happened, and for some cases, the journaling already written. I also have an album on my iPhone where I store the edited pictures that I need to print (I promise I will talk more of how I select, edit and print my photos on the next post of this series)
And you may ask, why is this step so important? Well, for me project life is to document my life, so I do not like to put a ton of embellishments and I try to focus on the photos and the stories, because at the end, those photos and stories will bring me a memory not the embellishment.

Thank for reading this if you have any comment please let me know.
